Outdoor Adventures Abound in Muskoka
Endless Outdoor Experiences
Think of Muskoka, and you think of the great outdoors… and endless adventure! Watersport enthusiasts flock to the region’s more than 4000 sq kms of crystal clear lakes and rivers to enjoy activities such as whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, tubing and sea-doing, or to kick back and relax on the many wonderful Muskoka beaches.
Muskoka’s endless pine and maple forests provide a perfect backdrop for adventure. Hardcore sports enthusiasts can enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, and eco-adventures, while family-fun activities include hiking, horseback riding and zip-lining. For those whose idea of adventure is a little more laidback, the region boasts countless sightseeing, bird watching, stargazing and camping opportunities.
Exploring the region’s magnificent ATV trails and driving routes is fun any time of year, but is a ‘must-do’ when the fabulous fall colours arrive. Better still, take a flying excursion over Algonquin Park, or visit one of Muskoka’s many look-out points for some breathtaking views. There’s much to do during the winter months, too, including skiing and snowboarding, snow-tubing and tobogganing, dog sledding, skating, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
Whatever the season – summer, fall, winter or spring – when it comes to things to do in Muskoka’s great outdoors, you’re only limited by your imagination.
