What Is a PMCN BEAM Grant?
A BEAM (Broadband for E-Business and Marketing) grant is a grant, not a loan and is therefore not repayable. It is a time-limited funding opportunity for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises/businesses. (SMEs). The grant program is administered by PMCN (Parry Sound Muskoka Community Network) on behalf of FedNor. This program is the 4th round of BEAM funding in our region.
What is the BEAM grant for?
The grant is for investments in e-business, which is the use of the Internet or any related technology to assist in your normal business operations. PMCN BEAM grants are available for SMEs in the electoral district of Parry Sound Muskoka to the south of Burk's Falls.
PMCN BEAM provides the following:
Financial support: grants up to 75% of the cost to design, develop and implement a new or existing website, content, mobile applications and operational business applications. The PMCN BEAM 4 contribution is limited to $4,000 per business.
Education: gained through defining your e-business goals in the application. By working with your chosen vendor to establish your web presence or through adding e-business tools to your current website, you will further your understanding of how e-business can increase your sales and improve business efficiency.
