- Extremely dangerous, noxious, invasive plant which is a public health haza
- Found along waterways, in ditches, edge of forests, in partially shaded areas and sometimes in backyards
- Reacts with sunlight. Contact with sap can cause intense burning and blistering of skin which may result in scars
- Reacts with sunlight. May cause blindness if sap comes in contact with eyes
- If you come in contact, wash affected area immediately with soap and water, keep skin out of direct sunlight and seek medical advice as soon as possible
- Perennial plant native to Asia
- Do not mix dead plants with regular compost
- Grows to 3 - 4 meters in height
- Blooms mid-May through July with numerous small white flowers forming an umbrella shape
- Purplish hollow stalk with small spikes
- Looks like a huge Queen Anne’s Lace or Wild Carrot plant
- Seeds can germinate up to 15 years after parent plant has been killed
- Do not walk on or near even when product is dry - plant is too dangerous for people and pets
- Treated as Vegetation Eradication
- Sprayed with a different product than that used on lawns
- Start seeing results in about 10 days
- May need to be treated for a few years and amount will decrease yearly
