Did you know that the early signs of having roof and sheathing damage is the signs of heat loss with ice damming. Ice damning occurs with variable symptoms including lack of proper insulation values that allows heat loss to thermal bridge against the underside of your roof sheathing creating frost and moisture build up.This Thermal Bridging allows the snow pack to melt and then rapidly flash freeze on the roofs edges.This continuous cycle allows the build up of thick ice formations (Dams) that don't allow it to drain and causing pooling on the back side.
