The Literacy Society of South Muskoka (LSSM) have as its mission, the effective provision of literacy and numeracy programs to adults of South Muskoka so that they can learn the skills necessary for participation in society. Reading is everyone's right. 

What we do ... 
The Literacy Society of South Muskoka is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to help adults upgrade their basic skills. This is offered in a one-to-one tutoring arrangement or in a small workshop format. The focus is on learning outcomes that meet the learners’ needs. Workplace skills that increase job opportunities are a high priority; further training and education, and, skills towards greater independence are also recognized goals.
